Carbs Carbohydrates perform an important function as an alternative energy source.

The carb-load is delivered by lentils and peas, which also contain some protein. Beet pulp (what’s left over once sugar is extracted from sugar beets) and chicory root inulin (derived from a plant in the dandelion family) are sources of prebiotic fibre that will help your pet maintain a healthy gut.
